Construction & contracting

Large headcount, multiple sites, labour accommodation and a workforce that doesn't sit at desks — attendance, visas and WPS at a scale where a spreadsheet stops being funny.

Contracting is the hardest HR environment in the UAE: headcount in the thousands, workers spread across sites that change every few months, accommodation and transport to administer, and a payroll run where a single mis-keyed IBAN means a rejected WPS file and a very public problem.

KLEDHR is built for that shape. Attendance comes off phones and gate devices with geofencing, the payroll engine produces the bank file in product, and every visa and labour card in the workforce is tracked against its expiry rather than a folder.

Geofenced site attendance

A punch is validated against the site boundary. Workers move between projects; the record follows the site, not a fixed office.

Split & rotating shifts

Split shifts, night rotations and overtime rated by policy, approved before they reach payroll.

WPS at volume

SIF generation with validation ahead of submission — bank details, salary components and totals checked before the file leaves.

Visa & labour card pipeline

Hundreds of documents with staggered expiries, tracked with enough lead time to renew rather than to react.

Accommodation & transport

Rooms, buses and assets allocated against the employee record and reclaimed as part of offboarding.

A phone-first workforce

Payslips, balances and requests in the native app, in the worker's hand — the only interface most of the workforce will ever use.

Attendance is the cost line

In contracting, attendance is not an HR formality — it is the largest variable cost in the business and the input to every project margin. Getting it captured accurately at the gate is worth more than any dashboard.

  • Offline capture on site, reconciled when the device reconnects.
  • Exceptions surfaced daily to the supervisor rather than monthly to HR.
  • Hours attributable to project and cost centre for margin reporting.
  • One trail from a punch to a payslip line, for the client audit as much as the internal one.

Mobilisation and demobilisation

Projects start and end, and each event moves large groups of people at once. Bulk actions have to be as controlled as individual ones.

  • Bulk transfers between sites and cost centres, with approval and audit.
  • End-of-project offboarding runs with settlements calculated together.
  • Gratuity carried as a monthly provision rather than discovered at demobilisation.

Questions we get asked

Does the mobile app work with poor connectivity?
Punches are captured on the device and reconciled when it reconnects, which is the normal case on a site rather than the exception.
Can we report hours by project?
Yes — cost centres and sites are both dimensions on attendance, so hours and cost can be attributed to either.
